We are having our release event for this set this Saturday.
$25.00 entry fee
You get six packs of M11 with which to build your deck.
We break packs at 1:00pm! Don’t be late!
Prize payout will be determined by the number of people we have playing. Everyone gets something. We’ll probably throw in a few random prizes as well. Deck boxes, play mats and the ever present “random foil cards“! Who knows!

We are having our first “midnight release” for this set.
FNM starts at 7:00, as usual, but we probably won’t have a playoff. Just five rounds of Swiss and whoever ends up 5-0 wins!

We break packs at 12:01am sharp! Don’t be late!
Prize payout as follows:
1st place: One full box!
2nd place: 1/2 box!
3rd-4th place: 9 packs each
5th-8th place: 4 packs each
9-16th place: 2 packs each
17th or lower: 1 pack each
As usual, these prizes are guaranteed! Whether we get 8 people or we get 60 people, everyone gets something. As you know if you’ve ever played here, at Galaxy Comics we don’t mess around! Woo!
*Update* Congratulations to Alvino Dickson for having an almost perfect day: 7-0-1 with only one game loss!

In what I believe is a tri-city first, Galaxy Comics now has a Cube! Our first draft will be invitational and take place on Wednesday, July 7th at 5:00. Here are the first people that are eligible to play:
1 ) Joshua Berden
2 ) Andy Thompson
3 ) Nick Williams
4 ) Mike Easterday
5 ) Chas Eldrige
6 ) Ray Stapleton
7 ) Jeff Gavit
8 ) Jeff Slick
9 ) Dan Franke
These people took either 1st or 2nd in an event in June. If one or more of these people can’t play then it’s open to the first people to respond that they want to play. I’d like to get eight people confirmed with 1-2 “alternates” in case someone doesn’t show up. It’s very important that we get 8 people since it’s a draft.
The cost is $15.00 and first place gets a box. Straight up, that’s it!

Quick notice: When you come to The Store, please use the parking lot in back. 7-11 is having an issue with people using up all of their spots so they are dropping a “no tolerance” policy on non-7-11 customers. You can thank White’s or, more specifically, White’s patrons.
You can probably get away with a five to ten minute stop if you are along the side they can’t see (don’t block their dumpster)… but don’t run over and yell at me if you get towed.
Now we just have to deal with the Deli’s customers taking up all the spots out back. That’s usually only until 1:00-2:00 though.

Ok, playing with WordPress is pretty fun! It’s going to take me a while to figure everything out and get a good “Galaxy Comics” theme. I plan on getting the Magic pages back up as soon as I can. I’ll even update the ratings and rankings since I haven’t done that in a couple months. I’m sure I owe a few people t-shirts!
